Whether you are a rookie, a seasoned  Pickleball player, or anything in between, you can join the Pickleball for Polio Fun Fundraiser on April 26!  Rookies can opt for a free lesson and play a friendly game.  ( All games will be fun and friendly, even for seasoned players).   We will provide paddles and balls if you dont have your own.  Please bring your own indoors/court shoes.  NO outside shoes are allowed. The eradication of polio is one of Rotary’s longest-standing and most significant efforts. Along with our partners, we have helped immunise more than 3 billion children against polio in 122 countries. We have reduced polio cases by 99.9 % worldwide, and we won't stop until we end the disease for good.  Pickleball for Polio will help with this.

Choices to vaccinate have contributed to a 40% improvement in infant survival during that time and protected tens of millions of children from lifelong disabilities. More children now live to see their first birthday – and grow up, fall in love, have families, and grow old – than at any other point in human history.
Polio is an infectious disease,  and vaccinations around the globe have made the world safe for our children and grandchildren!
Preventing deadly and debilitating infectious diseases, such as polio, measles, diphtheria, and pertussis, is worth it.

April 26 marks the start of immunization week.   World Immunisation Week aims to promote the life-saving power of immunization to protect people of all ages against vaccine-preventable diseases.

The time is now – to reaffirm trust in the remarkable benefits of vaccines; to continue to rely on the clear evidence of vaccines’ safety and efficacy; to counter dis- and misinformation; to stay informed; and to keep up to date with immunisations
