The current situation of a global COVID-19 pandemic requires us to seriously consider the potential risks to Rotarians at upcoming District gatherings. After careful and deliberate consideration, we believe that caution is in the best interest of our membership. Therefore, it has been determined that we will not gather in person for President Elect Training and/or District Training Assembly on March 21 and 22, 2020.

We recognize that nothing really makes up for the opportunity to gather together, talk informally, and share ideas. However, as an alternative to these events, we will be providing on-line training opportunities as follows:

President Elect Training – An online session will be conducted on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 10 am to noon. Additional online sessions may be scheduled at a later date. Alternately, Area Governors may meet in person with local Presidents Elect to provide additional training and support. Further information about registering for the online session on March 21 will be provided soon.

District Training Assembly – Where available and appropriate, break out session facilitators will provide interested Rotarians with their presentation material. Online sessions on some of the breakout topics will be scheduled throughout the year for Rotarians to attend. Additionally, some of the breakout sessions originally scheduled for DTA may be offered at District Conference in October.

Further information about Foundation Dinner and Grants Management Seminar, also scheduled for the March 21-22 weekend, will be forthcoming soon in a separate email.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and wish you all good health!
