Finley Johnston, 10, of Westport, ON, set out to walk 350 kms to raise $3000 towards building a well for people living without fresh water.

Johnston was inspired after reading a book and meeting Ryan Hreljac, Ryan’s Well Foundation founder. On May 30, Johnston set out with his family to complete the last 19 kms of his goal, his most ambitious daily walk. “I’m going to make it,” he said about halfway through his walk. That morning, he surpassed his fundraising goal of $3000. What an inspiration this young boy is!

Our Rotary Club of Kingston-Frontenac is proud to have supported Finley in his efforts to raise money for the Ryan's Well Foundation. Check out their website for more information at: ryanswell.ca.
