April 21, 2026: Are you ready for this? The DisCon 2026 Silent Auction is almost here - and the catalog is now available! But why bid? Other than being able to snag cool, unique items (a flight, cruises, sailing, collector's whiskey, a diamond necklace, travel experiences, and more), it is our Rotary Foundation Fundraiser. What is the deal with this Foundation?
Since its founding more than 100 years ago, The Rotary Foundation (TRF) has invested more than $4 billion in life-changing, sustainable projects. Projects supported by TRF can make an impact in your community and around the world. But, like with any bank, we need to make deposits (donations) to be able to withdraw at a later stage (grants).
Individual Rotarians, Clubs, and the District contribute to the TRF. During our District Conference, we raise funds through an auction so that District 7040 can make a “deposit”.
About half (48.5%) of all our donations will be available to clubs in our district in three years for qualifying club project grants (local and international). The other half is kept safe (as Foundations do) and has been used to support qualifying disaster response and programs-of-scale grants.
Here is our auction catalog, available to anyone - regardless of whether you are coming to the conference this weekend. You can bid remotely!
