DEI & Indigenous Peoples

Martha Weaver 2022-2025 The DEI Committee is to: • contribute to the implementation of the RI Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement in District 7040 and to the relevant goals of the Rotary District 7040 Strategic Plan; • enable District 7040 and Clubs to grow and better reflect the communities we serve and to be inclusive of all cultures, experiences, and identities; • develop policies and best practices to make our District and Clubs more welcoming, inclusive, and appreciative of each other; • provide opportunities to foster greater understanding and awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion matters, including DEI training, and; • initiate activities to publicly celebrate our District’s wide range of diverse members with an understanding that we are open to all. • promote the recognition of Indigenous peoples.
