What is Rotaract?
Rotaract, which stands for “Rotary in Action”, is a non-profit service club for students and young professionals ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and are sponsored by a local Rotary club. There are more than 8,200 Rotaract clubs in about 170 countries and this number continues to increase as Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon.

What does Rotaract do?
Rotaract believes in the motto of "Service Above Self" and is active in the communities.  Members have the opportunity to help out with local organizations like soup kitchens and assist in running fundraising events that support a variety of causes. One of these causes is supporting Rotary International’s “End Polio Now” campaign, which works to eradicate polio. Rotaract clubs also organize and manage their own social and service activities, which vary from club to club.

Typically Rotaract Clubs have general meetings every week or every other week to plan the upcoming events, find out what the needs are within the community and internationally, and keep in touch with what the club members are doing.
