Last year, the Pageant Master from Buckingham Palace reached out to Rotary Clubs around the world and ask that they partake in a Rotary Beacon Lighting Ceremony on June 2nd to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.  To that end every capital city around the world that is part of the Monarchy, will light a beacon in Her Majesty's honor at 9:15pm local time.

As the Chair of this event, I would like to invite you to attend this event that will be taking place at Ottawa City Hall, on the Marion Dewar Plaza, 110 Laurier Avenue West on June 2nd, 2022.  The event will run from 8:45pm to 9:30pm.

You MUST register either by phone at 613 580 2470 or ProtocolRSVP@ottawa.ca.  You will not be given access to this event unless you are registered ahead of time.

For the ladies, it is appropriate to wear your favourite fascinator to this event, but not proper protocol to wear a hat to honour the Queen, after 5pm.

I hope to see many of you there!  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
